Sounds like a SuperTuned L78 car. That was one of the options for the Harrell Novas, Dick would SuperTune the original L78 and add the speed equipment per your budget.

Thanks for the info Marlin but it doesn't sound like the motor thats in it , Dick would have done.My Question is if Dick upgraded another motor what is the conversion on this car that would make it a Harrell converted car?Isn't the value or Mystique in the original tuned or installed motor. Not downgrading the car maybe somebody sees something I don't. I'm missing what the conversion is.Help anybody

This car sounds similar to "Supercars" Harrell COPO which was a super tuned COPO Camaro with some speed equipment added. Seems logical the Harrell would do the same to L-78's if the customer's budget did not allow a full engine swap to an L-72.

You may have sold the car since it's been a month or so...

Do you have any pictures you can post? Does the car still have it's Dick Harrell tags on the dash, header, and deck lid? You mention documentation -- what do you have on the car?

Thanks,

Jeff

This car has found a new owner, a member of this site. I have been trying to help with an owner search, and am trying to locate a fellow in Columbia, Missouri. Is there anyone out there close to this town? It is just east of Kansas City.

This car was at one time painted black with a gold stripe down the middle, and is believed to have had the "Bad Ones" Kelsey Hayes wheels, and a 427 under the hood. When recovered from Columbia, in 1994, it had a small block. Its original color from Dick's shop was Ralley Green with the white striping by "OOPS".

Ken:

Not sure of too many people on here close to Columbia (home of the Mizzou Tigers!), but I know a collector from east of there, in Farmington, MO. Let me check the database in the morning and see what I can turn up. FYI, Columbia is about 4+ hours north of us.
