Im looking at buying what i've been told is a 67/69 Factory 396 SS Camaro. I've just got the motor and taken down the Engine and Trans Numbers. From what I have been able to find out they dont seem to be the numbers of a Camaro. They are as follows:

Engine TI12IMY 18NE351287 Trans (Contains the following numbers from top to bottom) : 396 CD-67 45506 If anyone can tell me what this engine and trans are out of I'd be very thankful. Regards, Mark Jones Melb Aus |

Engine is a 68 396/325 HP and I would think the partial VIN should be 18N351287 which shows its out of a 68 SS 396 camaro.

 I take it that it isn't 67 or 69, but a 68.

Engine was built Nov 21st, L35 (396/325hp) with TH400. VIN is a 68 Camaro VIN and looks right for the motor (despite the extra E ). Does this VIN match the car's VIN?
