Default When was the Yellow light MPX stereo introduced?

I have asked this question before in an older topic but recieved few answers. My 69 Camaro has the Yellow light pushbutton stereo with the hidden multiplex above the glove box. It appears to be untuched and very original to the car. It also has a sticker with a date that fits the build date of the car. I have been told that the Yellow light was first introduced in 1970, I have also been told that is incorrect. CRG is currently researching this same topic and states it may have been introduced sometime around June of 69? does anyone have any info on this topic? Thanks.

L78Impala has a friend with a very correct Z28 which appears to have its original Yellow Light muliplex stereo.

Bill, can you provide the build date for Mark's Dover White
Z28 and the date on the radio itself?

After talking with Mr. NICKY Nova, he told me that his 69 Z has a build date of the first week in June 1969. He will try to look for the date sticker on the radio. I will keep you posted if he finds it.

Stefano, you missed a good MOPAR show in Belvedere.

You'll have to let me know what showed up. I did score an NOS Shelby gauge which I needed at 'Skips', other than that I hate to say that it wasn't worth the trip.

Mr. NICKY Nova told me that he did find a sticker on his radio. He said that he could not find an identifiable date on the sticker. Is there a way to decode the date/sticker?

Thanks guys, Most people would care less if it was original or not. The thing I enjoy most about these old cars is the research. The most important thing I have learned is that anything could have and generally did happen from the factory. I get upset when people pick my car appart at the local club meetings. Those people are usually the ones who have read all the books and allready know everything about these old cars. We all know books dont have all the answers and sometimes the information can be wrong. This is a great website, thanks again for the help guys.

By the way my car was built the first week of June.

Rick,
There are a couple of frame off LS6's at a local (far West) dealer. One is a Coupe for $60,000.00 and the other is a Rag Top for $80,000.00. If I remember correctly both are advertised as numbers matching and correct cars.
I didn't see a single deep groove between the two cars.
Didn't all LS6 Chevelles come with deep groove pulleys?

Rick,
There are two posi 4.10 gear codes listed for the 1970 LS6 one is listed as heavy duty. What is the difference between the two Eaton Rears?

Were the two codes interchanged and were they coded specific on a build sheet. That is standard 4.10 vs Heavy Duty 4.10?

L78Impala,
I do not know how to decode the radio sticker. Help is needed.
