In about '86-.87 I was looking for a '67z/28 and stopped at a guys house that I knew in passing who said he had one. In looking at it he pointed out the large diameter front sway bar and disc brakes but I noticed a square traction bar and noticed a 140MPH speedo, thought that was odd for a Z and never did any more about it. Did the 67 Yenko have a 140MPH speedo, could this have been one.

I am not an expert on these things, but I do have a 1993 Cars and Parts magazine. That mag shows a low mileage 67 Yenko owned by Jim Parks for 10 plus years (at that time).
A picture clearly shows a 120 mph speedometer. Gary |

I am not aware of any special COPO style parts on a 67 Yenko Camaro. What was the MPH on a Firebird speedo from 67? It may have been a swap over. Just a thought..

I've often thought about the Firebird speedo over the years, it could have been. Glad to think I didn't pass anything really big, thanks for the info. Wes

I have seen a so called "Nickey" 67 Camaro with a 160? speedo installed. It was from a Firebird. This car is very suspect...
