I have a 69 Camaro 06A built with a yellow light Stereo radio. Does anyone know when this radio was introduced. I have been told it was a revised edition of the Blue light.
Thanks guys. |

Chevy started using the yellow light in the 70 model year.So some late 69 camaro's came with them, they were unique, being a 1970 radio with a 69 Camaro plug.Your car seems to early for a yellow light, should have a blue light.

I quiz'd a radio guru about this to make sure.
Blue light was most of 69 Camaros. Late in the year, they made a change to the circuitry, bumped the part #, and changed it to yellow light. Both still had external MPX decoders. In 70, the rear plug changed and the MPX went internal, still a yellow light.
