While we're on the subject of dealer emblems, would anyone know where we could get a "Van Chevrolet" emblem for our '69 Y-Nova?

Dave Tinnell restored a red '70 Yenko Nova that was sold out of Van T. Chev. It is possible that the car had one on it, check with Dave, (?).

Van T. Chev. is in Mission, KS which is a suburb of Kansas City. I checked my records, and the '70 Yenko Nova was actually sold out of Branine Chev. in Mulvane, KS which is a suburb of Wichata. I believe the two were associated.

Van Chev sold a Lemans Blue, Rallye Green, and an Olympic Gold '69 Yenko Camaro. They also sold a Butternut Yellow Yenko Chevelle.

I'm going to run over to Madison this weekend and see if they have anything in their old newspapers. I was wondering if anyone could tell me when they think Hults (Thorstad)Chev would have recieved their cars in 69 & 70. As soon as I can get the Broadway Chev Yenko info scanned in(Sorry Computer stupid!) I'll see what I can do about posting it. Marlin, maybe I can just e-mail to you.You seem to know how to post things quite well.

Thanks for the info. I did a little research on Van Chevrolet soon after I bought my LS-6 (which was also sold there!), but I don't have any of the paper work, and for some odd reason, I seemed to think that "Van T" and "Van" Chevrolet were different. Obviously, I was wrong. But, we still need an emblem to go on out Nova! |
