So the other day on Facebook I found an NOS Kent-Moore pinion set -up tool.
Never had one, never seen one, read about them but that is as close to having one. I mean the indicator still had the cardboard sleeve to protect the plunger, and all the Parts that have ground dementions are still in the factory plastic hot dip coating! Well great score I thought and it is, will do Buick, Olds, GM Truck and Chevrolet 12 bolt rearends. In reading the instructions I find out that you need this J21777-23 attachment. This is the part that clamps the 2 bearing together and is what you measure to get Your shim height. Which you had to buy that separately, of course. So I am looking for one of these if anyone might have one I would gladly buy or if You might be willing to lone it or get me an over all height dim. I would make it right with you.
