Post 69 Yenko Nova...

I saw this car mentioned on the Nova Site....

https://www.mecum.com/lots/1155415/1...aa_id=717096-0

I'm no expert, but a lot of this info appears incorrect to me...like this:

Powered by the 427/450 HP L72 V-8, factory-installed under Chevrolet’s Central Office Production Order program for dealer Don Yenko,

I’d like to hear more about this collection in general. Anyone have info on the rally green Camaro?

Factory 427 of course incorrect but Mrays noted some info on 114279W467990 coming to auction from Cliff Ernst’s collection as below from his posting last month as this link…

Thanks Pete, I meant from the guys here that know the car. It doesn’t say anything about drivetrain originality sheet metal etc. but also not trying to highjack this thread so if anyone knows the cars well maybe send me a message. Thanks

Best nab the Vin of anything interesting and Google it alone.
If multi hits, add “yenko.net” to the search for past threads Vin was noted here.

Here's the trim tag for the Nova. Anyone spot any issues with it?

----I find it almost impossible to see a tag on a car like this with all the different stuff going on under hood over the years that could possibly be as perfect condition as this tag!....Bill S

I've been told the trim tag is a reproduction. It was supposedly a Lemans Blue car with a black vinyl top. There is supposedly paperwork to back this up, but I have not seen it. Cliff added the bucket seats and console. I'm not knocking the car as it is a very real and rare Yenko Nova and will rightfully command a monster number at Mecum in a couple of weeks.
