Are these anything special? 14x6 five on 4 3/4. I have a pair of each.
I've used them as rollers on project cars for 40 years. The top one has a "B" stamped by the stem. We always referred to them as "station wagon wheels" TYIA!! |

Bill -
Since I did not know the answer and was curious myself I took the liberty of sending your post to Jody Anderson to see what his thoughts are.....here is his response: Those wheels in the pics are 64 (B code) 6" wheels std on wagons, optional on all others. All wagons also came with 8.00 tires. In 62 all non-wagon 409 cars came with std 5" wheels and 8.00 tires. Verne shared his research with me years ago that the 6" wheels were not available as an option in 62. Many many years ago someone started the incorrect info that 409 cars had std 6" wheels. Looks there are similar ones on eBay for $50-$100 ea. depending on condition. Your's look pretty nice. Hope this helps Last edited by RPOLS3; Today at 02:37 PM. |
