OEM GM 302 1178 Forged Steel Crankshaft 68-69 Camaro Z/28 Crank

This is a OEM GM forged steel crankshaft for 68-69 Z28 302 engines. The forging number is 1178. This crank just came out of the collection of a long time racer and collector. He had it checked out in 2009 and it has been in dry storage ever since. It is standard size on the mains and 2.000 on the rod journals which is standard small rod journal size. Cutting down the rod journals to small journal was fairly common by racers back in the day. This crank is in very good shape as shown. The journals look fresh with a couple small scuffs and nicks from storage that will polish out. These factory 68-69 302 cranks used to be not too tough to find. In the last couple years, I have seen very few for sale and they get snapped up quick.
