Hey Gang, another RARE treat here!
I have a genuine as leather vintage ALLEN GWYNN license plate frame available. Chevrolet Chevy - Glendale California CA. It is likely the purple version and has a very original and nice feel to it; it's not perfect but still retains its original chrome finish, and it's recently been hand polished to bring back some luster. It does not have any of the original purple paint, but looking at it in the sun, you can definitely see a hint of it and believe it was originally purple, if that makes sense, and the white lettering at the top looks to be repainted. This is a VERY difficult frame to source in any condition. It presents as a VERY nice survivor piece to me and could be restored (repainted) to look great I'm sure. No breaks, no cracks evident. It is NOT a reproduction or recreation, it is real and was cast by the famed Robert W. Brown & Co out of Downey, CALIF. Several very detailed and up close photos below to show all the detail. There is a very slight wow (top right corner viewed from the front) in it that does not affect eye appeal, again, IMHO. This is an awesome and not often found frame. Cheers all, Anthony |

I know there’s a few guys looking for these. Mossportgreen66 Dan is one of them.
