The Longest Day...
79 years ago today the largest and greatest military event in history began on the shores of Normandy in France...D-Day. This was the long awaited allied invasion of fortress Europe and the creation of a second front against Hitler's tyranny.
Most of those who served on that day have passed on to their keeper...but the memory of their heroism lives on. Lest we forget
