3919840 Big Block Chevy Rectangular Port Heads March 69 Rebuilt

This is a set of 3919840 rectangular port heads for Big Block Chevy engines. The casting number on each head is 3919840. The 3919840 heads were used on later 1967-1969 L78 396/375HP, L72 427/425HP, and L71 427/435HP engines. The heads are dated C 26 9 and C 31 9 which decode as March 26th and 31st, 1969. These mid 1969 dated 840 heads are very hard to find.

These heads are in awesome shape. They were rebuilt and installed on a 1966 Corvette with a 427/425HP engine. The owner thought they were original to the car and found out they were not correct after less than 200 miles of driving. The correct heads were located and these have been on a shelf ever since. These heads still have the stock size 2.19 inch intake and 1.72 exhaust valves. There is no porting to the intake or exhaust ports. All threads are in great shape. The deck surfaces are still very thick(not over surfaced/milled). I see no breaks or repairs anywhere on these heads. They really do not get nicer than this!
