Hi all,
Anyone who knows me knows that I am always straining to make the cars I restore to be the best and most accurate to my ability. I recently decided that I needed to look into making the magnetic drain plugs for 70-74 Muncies as finding used originals that could be made show worthy to my standards was getting more and more difficult. I have a friend with CNC equipment who helps me to make a lot of the parts that I do make for my restorations and his attention to detail is right in line with my own so it's been like a match made in heaven for me. These plugs are forge formed just like the originals, then machined for the magnet installation. I had a metal marking company make the I.D. stampings as per original. My primary reason for making these parts is always because it's something that I need for a car I'm working on but figured I'd check here and see if anyone would be interested in some for their own project before I put some up for sale elsewhere. Thanks, Chris |
