Looking for a little Day 2 fluff to finish off a vintage shifter install. Would anyone happen to have a new in package plastic Hurst T Handle in ivory that they'd be willing to sell or trade on other day 2 parts?

I'd like to find one but not interested in the eBay sellers.

Graeme, good luck - they're rare. I ran one in my '69 Z28 as it was a perfect compliment (real 729 interior car) . One spirited shift and the handle cracked. I suggest running a metal T Handle - don't want to deter you at all though!

Facebook group Vintage Moroso, Mr. Gasket & Performance Equipment Aficionados. There are several guys on there that have Hurst T handles. I've seen several white ones.

I love the white handles also, but I am not gentle on my stuff, I took these aluminum ones and sandblasted them and Cerakoted them white, i filled in the back with Testors enamel paint, the one was a picture just before I wipe off the extra with lacquer thinner.

			That's a great idea Dan...

I think Russell had also suggested that to me. Being that I plan on banging on this one I should probably follow that advice and will look for a patterned original and have it powder or ceramic coated.

Some good advice in going with the recoat of an aluminum version I think. I'll look to score one of those and recolor it in the interim.

The first year that I tried racing my car I had a Super Shifter with a round ball. It was so hot and my hands were sweating so much that I couldn't get a good grip on it. The next year I had a T handle on it.

after further inspection im going to backtrack on the direct drill statement. i scratched back a bit of the paint and it does seem to have the thread insert. i will add the pic here. i still feel like this handle will take a beating time will tell.
