Picked up a nice survivor 3932472 Intake and DZ4053 carburetor today. The intake and carb appear to have never been molested and the intake still has original carb studs in it. What stands out to me is this filler tube with the tapped PCV outlet. Guy thought it was an original GM part but I have never seen one like it? Does anybody know anything about this filler neck or who might have made it?

Looks like a GM 67 z or SS350 chrome filler tube to me.

PCV valve screws in, just like the pic above. My California smog '67 Camaro 350 has the same tube.

Yup, a convenient way to plumb a PCV if you’re running early valve covers and don’t want to drill them.

Thanks, everyone. Never seen one with the fitting before and didn't think it was a GM part. I'll be taking it off and will offer it up at a later date in case someone needs one.

If I may add,
There are two versions of this tube. The tube in question that Graeme posted, appears to be the Corvette version, a bit shorter (4 3/4" above the intake surface), and the, I believe, all other applications version which rises 6 1/2" above the intake, as seen in the second pic. There is a common non-chrome, painted version, and a couple versions of the cap also. Bill W |
