That's correct, these were painted light blue when new.

Those are really nice and deserve to be restored to "as-original" for sure.
I'd love to pick them up and do just that, but I just spent my "play money" on Rob's Crane Superflow BBC iron heads so I don't want to be in the way if someone else wants these sooner. Thanks for posting the pics!
