I'm pretty sure that is how is works. It gets tricky when them are Private messages as well as public replies. I think the earliest time stamp is the best way to go. I don't think questions about details or specifics qualify as an "I'll take it" unless it is an "if xxxxxx, then I'll take it". Also, to be clear, I am not one of the buyers.
