In 1975 I didn't act on the opportunity to buy a LB 4 speed Yenko Chevelle that was was sold new by Friedley Olds here in Cedar Falls Iowa. It remained in the area for at least another five years, does anyone know where it is today?? I do not know the VIN.
Also, one of the Friedley Yenko Camaros is still in the area, any others known? Just curious. Thanks!! Bill W |

According to the 69 Chevelle Registry the Le Mans Blue car is known but I have no idea where it is located, but I'm sure many others do.
The Fathom Green and Le Mans Blue Friedley sold 69 Yenko Camaro's are both within 20 miles of Cedar Falls to this day. |

It's good to know the Chevelle is alive and well!! In the mid seventies the owner would bring it into the Pontiac dealership where I was employed because he was chummy with the service manager (Pontiac drag racer Jerry Stealy).
I am familiar with the LB Camaro although I haven't spoken with the owner in a while. The FG car I am not familiar with. I happened to witness a transport unloading Yenko cars at the Friedley dealership. IIRC they sold a total of 3 Chevelles and 4 Camaros?? Thanks for the VIN info Drew!! |

The LB Chevelle was Tom Billigen's old car. My notes show that it was bought new by a Gary Birch of Washlum, IA.

Thanks to everyone for your responses!! Searches showed that the Chevelle was sold to NY, so it could be anywhere by now.
The FG Camaro I have no memory of, but with his and my drag race involvement in the late '60s and the '70s I'm sure we crossed paths at the local tracks. I did barely miss buying a FG COPO (with Super Stock racer intentions) from a local used car dealer, but that's another story. Thanks again! - Bill Wente Last edited by 67since67; 02-14-2019 at 04:57 PM. |

Was thinking there was also a DY Chevelle sold from there. Believe the juries still out on what exactly happened to it.
