Default 5.60-15 Tire Questions

I'm doing some pre-Spring cleaning and ran across these near mint beauties. Any idea who made these ? At 25" unmounted, I'm thinking these would look great on a set of 15x4s. Anyone have them on a 67/68 or on a '69 ? Are they too short, too tall or just right ?

The DOT number should tell who made them.

Default Tires

I'm not having any luck figuring them out. It just might be rocket surgery.

I have a set of 5.40.15 mounted on 4" front wheels and they are just a tad too small for the needed height on my Camaro. I then mounted a set of the same tires in a 6.40.15 which is 27" and put them on another set of 4" wheels. Much better fit in my opinion.

I think the 5.60 look great on anything. You have to have some driving caution. They are VW tires after all and I actually saw a Cuda or Challenger with them taking a turn too sharp and too fast at a show some years back and the tire rolled off the rim.

Here are 5.60's on 15x4 Cragars on a 70 Nova.

I've got a set of Pro Trac 5.6 on my '69 Camaro and they are too short. I'm looking for something taller.

Dave - IMHO that tire looks too short to me. Wheel well needs to be filled out a tad more.

Just mounted these the other day and that extra 1.5" of tire height makes a big difference. I won't have the fenders back on until next week but anticipate these will fill the wheel well rather nicely.

Thanks for the info guys ! Seeing this, I think I'd be happier with the taller 6.4 tires.

Those look fantastic Graeme. What make of tire is that? Did you get those through Summit?
