1969 Daytona Yellow SS396 L78 Chevelle Build
I just got back home from a 3 day weekend - Greg and I decided to start a long time coming build. Greg has owned a 1969 Daytona Yellow L78 Chevelle for 6-7 years that has been waiting its turn to be restored. This Daytona Yellow Chevelle will be very nice when complete as it lived a very good life as is evident by the condition of all the parts....very pit free and superior condition.
This L78 Chevelle is an M21 4 speed, black cloth bench seat, KK 4.10 posi, Black Vinyl Top. The engine and rear end are 100% born with original to the car. We gathered all the necessary parts and got organized in order to be able to assemble the entire rolling chassis on my next trip down. We occasionally sub out certain work....We had our good friend Rick Nelson rivet the upper control arm for this build. Rick it was great seeing you as always. Looking great as are all Greg's restorations. It was really great having Greg stop by the shop and BS's for hours, ditto with you. Lots of cool stories. You will have to let me know when you are driving through Springfield so I can meet you for lunch next time Dan.
