Hello, I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me? My dad has a 1967 chevelle 396 and it has the original 1969 ce l78 engine in it. If you got a l78 ce block under warranty, did that mean that the car was originally an l78? Thanks

It was true for me when I blew the engine in my 69 L78,they would reuse heads etc:, that were not damaged. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/

My dad had installed 427'sin 396 cars under a warranty program when the customer paid the difference. I'm sure each dealer had its own rules and policies.
