Hi All,
For sale here is an August 1969 edition of Car Life Magazine featuring the 1969 Z28 JL8 4 wheel disc brakes car. This is one of the only JL8/Xram features on the Z. Yellow on Yellow houndstooth, spoilers, X77, endura bumper, Xram - this car was loaded up! I have two magazines... price for each is $80 shipped. There maybe some slight spine damage from sitting. Thanks, Dan [email protected] ![]() ![]() ![]()

Damage is the wrong word. Wear is a better adjective. The magazines are near mint.
Thanks, Dan

Is this car still around? It has to be with those colors and options!

One magazine remains, one is sold.
Matt, I agree. Yellow on yellow with these options sure would be tough to forget but given this car was thrashed from day-1, maybe there is little chance? Given the production of this magazine, you would tend to believe it is a late(r) production car. Thanks, Dan

That car reminds me of the 68 Yellow & Black RS Z/28 with custom interior, 4 wheel disc, 4.10 posi, cross ram, cowl ducted air cleaner, transistor ignition, concours quality car Chevy brought to Car & Driver to do battle the "tunnel port" 302 Mustang in 1968.
I am sure both of those cars contributed to the myth of the factory cross ram Z/28. Both were prepped by GM. I know the Car & Driver article makes it clear that Ford and Chevy could prep the cars any way they wanted as long as they used "any factory installed or dealer available part" that was homologated. Of course, as it turned out, the tunnel port 302 was never even installed in a production car. Ford brought a gun to the knife fight and still lost.
