This is a neat car! On ebay now. If I wasn't working on mine, I'd buy it myself. Originally Sundance Orange - a very rare and very bright metallic orange color. Still has its original 455HO engine and is loaded, optionwise. Even has the super rare rear seat console. California car. I also has a vintage set of American Racing 200S wheels.

Steve, above the text box when you make a new post or thread, there is the smiley face box. To the right of that is the link box to help post a live link on your post.

Yes. That's what's so nice about the 72 Pontiacs. The engine VIN is right there for all to see. To sum up what my math whiz daughter would say: X=$$$$$
Mostly everything else that is needed for the car is there. That air cleaner is a rare (translated as expensive) part. They usually got tossed away. The 1972 455HO 7F6 heads are there, as well as the original ram air exhaust manifolds. I emailed the seller to see if he has the carb part number and the transmission VIN stamp photo. A correct 7042270 automatic trans carb is a $2,000 to $3,000 piece. It also looks like the 1112133 unitized distributor is gone. That's another $500 piece. BTW, here is what the car would look like finished: ![]() |
