I won't matter which header that you use as there are not any made for BB and side exhasut. You will need to make a custom "S" pipe to connect the headers to the side exhaust. There are pictures on the site somewhere.

Those "S" bends are alot of restriction but I guess you have no choice.

As well as the S-bend pipe Motion also tapped into the side of the collector...you will get a power drop like with the s-pipe but then you can have the option of an open header design which can be uncorked by removing the cover off the collector or using a remotely operated flapper.

Another thing I had thought about was using block hugger headers...never tried it so don't know if it will work.

-----I dont know weather they would fit this chassis but Hooker used to make side-pipe headers for mid-year Corvettes. They looked a lot like block-huggers but the collector angled out towards the side-pipe. I also dont know if they make them anymore, but there are probably sets out there......Bill S

You might also check out big block headers for 58-64 full size Chevy since some of those exited to the side also.

I was wondering if the direct fit headers from corvette central would work? In the catalog it says they directly replace the cast iron manifolds so i would think there would be no problems with the steering box.

Heddman still makes the headers olredalert spoke of. Summit carries them. The painted Big Block version is $179. I put a set on my 69 Corvette. They are similar to block huggers, they may fit a Camaro.
