One of the world’s premier muscle car collections will cross the auction block in Georgia next month as RM Auctions presents The Milton Robson Collection, a single-vendor sale to be held in Gainesville, November 13. The result of over 25 years of careful acquisition by lifelong ‘car guy’ Milton Robson, the Robson Collection features a remarkable series of low-production and ultra-high specification Detroit muscle cars, along with a series of iconic fifties and sixties classics, and a superb selection of Henry Ford’s original flathead V8s. A total of 55 vehicles from the collection, along with a range of memorabilia will be offered ‘without reserve’.

I was lucky enough to get to see this collection a couple times. Definately some of the rarest and nicest cars availalbe. It's only a 2 hour drive for me so I may make the trip.

I just watched the auction and I thought that the prices were very strong. I hope that Mr Robson is pleased with the results. ZL1 380K, survivor yenko 280K, 57 airbox corvette 340K, 67 435 corvette 160K, RAIV firebird 260K, 69 RAIV judge 620K. LS6 chevelle conv. 195K. I think that the 69 L78 pace car conv. sold for around 190K. A 300 chrysler convertible went for 397K. All prices are before 10% buyers premium.

Wow! The lightweight '62 409 Impala only sold for $132,000 and the '62 SD 421 sold for %154,000. Those are two very reasonable prices for such important GM factory race cars. The Survivor Fathom Green '69 Yenko with the cracked, and checkered original stripes is just to die for and an incredible example! I hope the car stays that way and I would walk right past 10 restored examples with nary a glance just to see that particular car. Any future owner of that car that feels the need to "take it to the next level" and drops it off for new paint/stripes would be committing a crime against all Musclecar enthusiasts and I'd be the first one in line to put my foot right up their.....ah, you get the message.
