Are the 69 Chevelle rear wheel wells body color like the impalas etc. or black. I am thinking that correct would be body color with overspray under and onto the bottom of the car. Then a narrow path of black undercoating from front to rear in the path of rocks thrown off the tire in the wheelhouse for sound deadening. Help would be appreciated. Thanks, Andy.

I've had a couple of low mile cars..never saw much paint color. Mostly alot of undercoating ..either factory applied..kinda up the middle covering the seam between the inner and outer wheelhouse..and both cars had dealer applied on top covering the entier wheelwell..frame too!

I did see one low-mile (5k orig) 69 SS garnet red that had red over-spray in the rear wheel wells. The red that could be seen was underneath the factory applied undercoating where the coverage was incomplete.
