Default 1967 Pace Car?

My son-in-law and I just brought home a project 1967 Camaro convertible that I believe is a Pace Car. The trim tag reads 67-12667 with 732-Z trim and C-1 paint, options are 2LG, 3L, 4P Trim tag date is 04B. It's got to be a pace car, doesn't it?

Not necessarily. Lots of white convertibles with blue deluxe interiors were not Pace cars. Its made during the right time that theres the possibility that its a pacecar, but theres more info on that tag that needs to be mentioned. Got a picture of the tag?

Didn't Pace cars have a 0-1 on the tag?? I thought they were a brighter white.

O-1 pace cars have clear coat and were festival cars. C-1 cars are non track festival cars.

The O-1 cars were not clear coated. Chevrolet did not have the facilities to do that.

It's likely to be a pacer with those colors. The VIN and tag will help tell for sure.

Thanks for the feedback - I got a PM re what to look for to assure that it's a "blue nose" Pace Car versus a "black nose" RS/SS. It does have the dash after the 4P - so apparently a Pace Car. Also has a perfect 3/16" hole in the trim tag right by the "P" in the "4P" area - don't know what that's all about. The guy that I bought it from had no idea - he was making it into a resto mod - putting a big block into it. We'll probably continue with his plan.

Why would anyone resto mod a 67 Pace Car?? Worth more as a pace car.
