Hi Guys, It's been a while since I've been on the boards. I started a business and it has consumed me - I hope everyone is doing well.
I've decided to sell one of my personal cars: It's a #'s matching 1967 Plymouth GTX with its original 440, backed by the original 727 Automatic, and the 8-3/4" SureGRIP rear (3:55's) - again, all #'s matching. I have the original buildsheet, fendertag, and laminated copy of the window sticker. The engine has been modified somewhat but is very streetable. It's got a Mopar Performance .509/282 Purple Shaft cam, MP Dual Plane Aluminum Intake manifold, Holley 800cfm carb, MP Electonic Ignition, Hi-Torque Mini-Starter, 10.5:1 Lightweight Keith Black pistons, MP HD oil pump (60-80PSI always), balanced bottom end, ported heads and intake, ceramic coated headers, K&N air filter contained in the original air cleaner, there is only 3,500 miles on the complete drivetrain and I have receipt for everything ($15k in mechanicals put in this car since 2001). Rebuilt 11" Police Spec manual drums (per buildsheet), new wheel cylinders, hardware, drums, lines, everything. Power steering, factory original white/black bucket seat interior is nearly flawless, console shift, column mounted Sun Tach, MP guages monitoring Water Temp and Oil Pressure, lights work perfect, no battery drain at all. Engine bay is as nice as the exterior, it was repainted when the engine was out and looks great. Exterior paint is amazing and the clear coat looks a foot thick, it's the original QQ1 Dark Red poly as described on the fendertag, car is straight with good gaps, the doors, trunklid, and hood open and close perfectly. The undercarriage was stripped and treated with a coat of POR-15's "Chassis Black", it looks great. The black vinyl roof is tight and perfect, all glass looks to be original with the exception of the windshield, windows go up and down well, although the driver's window is a bit sticky, the wipers work great (although this car NEVER sees rain). The horn works and the AM radio has been replaced with an aftermarket Mopar AM-FM/Cassette player and plays through the front speaker in the dash. The heater and defrosters work well, but I recently noticed it's missing the right side defroster duct (I ordered a YearONE part). Vents open and close as they should. I recently added a set of mid 80's 15x7 Mopar Police wheels, had them powder coated and cleared, color is close but not exact. Tires are new BFG radial TA/s (255/60 & 235/60) blackwalls out. This car gets looks like you wouldn't believe, the cam thumping through the headers sounds insane - it's what I like most about this car, and it commands respect at the traffic lights - please see the video link below. Thanks for looking, if you have ANY questions please call me at (617)513-7407 - I'm asking $29,500 or best offer, I will consider musclecar trades - thanks, Dave ![]() Here is a link to a short video and photos of the car: PICS HERE ![]() ![]() Thanks again, Dave Castine Wakefield, MA |

I like it! I've always loved GTX's and I just finished watching your video of that thing thumping hard. Now that's what a GTX, or any musclecar for that matter, is supposed to sound like!

To answer some quesions I'm receiving...
1.) YES this was the car that was on ebay, it bid up to $27,200 and I'm still talking with a couple of the high bidders, but they are pushing hard to trade their cars + cash, which is not really what I'm looking to do. YES - I will include the new redlines and the new chrome roadwheels for an additional $800.00 I will be installing a new metal hood along with a 67 Hemi SuperStock scoop shortly. (I can't stop turning wrenches!) Thanks guys! Dave |
