That short 1 piece spoiler continued to be what you got standard on a 71 Z28 till sometime mid. year 1971 which is when all production camaro's started getting the larger 3 piece rear spoiler. In the 1971 camaro dealer brochure it say's " The Z comes with a standard rear spoiler . Or you can special order spoilers like the one shown on the opposite page " & then shows a 3 piece rear spoiler.

I never thought the one piece spoiler was used in 1971 since the three piece spoiler was used in 1970, even if it was COPO. You learn something every day on this site.

I just love where the reporter asks the former owner if he had any special memories of the Camaro himself and he replied...."Well, today!".....right after he turned over the keys to Papa John and recieved his check for $250,000! That's a lot of money! Good for him!
