Default 1969 L78 NOVA

I HAVE FOUND A 69 L78 NOVA CAR HAS BEEN STORED SINCE 1982 THE BUILD DATE ON THE CAR IS 02D THE CAST DATE ON THE BLOCK IS B179 AND THE BUILD DATE IS TO222JH AND THE TRANS BULID DATE IS P9B2C BUT I DONT SEE A VIN ON THE TRANS CASE ? DO THIS DATE SOUND RIGHT AND WHAT ABOUT NO VIN ON THE TRANS ?

Did you look on the TOP left corner where it bolts to the bell house? Use a mirror.

He's right,I'd check there.
B179 casting date translates to February 17th,1969.
T0222JH running engine assembled date translates to Tonawanda,February 22nd of 1969 Nova L-78 motor.
Those two jive.

I CHECKED ON THE TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION AND THE VIN IS STAMPED THERE ON THE PASSANGER SIDE IS THAT A COMMON PLACE ON THE NOVA,S I KNOW ON THE LA BUILT CAMAROS THAT IS WHERE THEY ARE STAMPED
