Apparently really chrome plated,according to the description.
Bid to $6,500 and was a no sale on the block.

Every piece of exterior sheet metal is chrome plated. You can see yourself in it from any angle.

Has to be the chrome paint...look under the hood...why would you paint the underside black. Also look at the inner fenders.

Also, it would be HUGELY cost prohibitive to chrome large panels like that...and not have them warp.

...i called bob mcdorman chevy....the guy i spoke to confirmed that it IS REAL CHROME PLATING and NOT paint !!!!! it was owned by a plating company before they got it.
