Default 1968 RS Z/.28 Original Motor & Cowl Plenum

Original motor, trans and non-original 12 bolt posi. This car was restored in the late 80's after having served as a weekend slalom racer for the previous owner of 38 years. The car has 44,000 original miles but they are not documented. Fortunately, the original engine was kept on a stand in his garage while he had his fun with another specially built engine. The original trans comes with the car and you also get the one that is currently in the car. There is a partial picture of this car in Jerry MacNeish's book. The cowl plenum is real. Most of the engine components, except the carb and fan blade, are correct. I have the original exhaust manifolds, and the rear bumper guards in the trunk. The car runs great but will need a brake tune-up from sitting for quite awhile. Corvette Bronze is the correct color for the car. $26,000 Call for more information. 760-802-9376 Gregg

Do you have any factory or dealer paperwork with the car?

No. The tire sticker is in the glove box. Jerry MacNeish has known of this car before he wrote his books. A 38-year owner who is acknowledged in Jerry's book. A picture on page 42 of Jerry's book depicting the Z/28 fender emblem, and most importantly the ORIGINAL MOTOR. I am also a stickler for documentation on a car. However, there are enough facts surrounding this car to know it's real without the factory docs. Sometimes real history is just as important.

To me REAL history is the most important. I say a car should stand on its own. Most paperwork IMO was for the assembly line and dealers. Nice car!!
