Default 2nd Gen Camaro Springs

I took the subframe apart to clean and paint that I am going to use on my 72 Camaro and the front springs still have the tags on them, they are marked : DN with 6262430 bellow and are yellow, does anyone know if these are BB or SB springs and if they are for small block are they for with or without air?

Those were originally intended for the 454 LS-4 equipped 1973 Chevelle & Elcamino with a ft. end weight between 1042-1123lbs.,but not if the Super Sport package was also ordered on them.

OKAY, they were in a 1970 Camaro subframe, is there a application for Camaro listed, I do not think it has ever been apart before today...

We know the factory made occasional errors, but the fact that those DN coded #6262430 springs are such a later/higher number then anything used during 1970-72,leads me to believe someone installed them years later after the factory initially released that particular vehicle..

Well I took the info you gave me and cross referenced it thru the Eaton Detroit Spring part number for a 73 454 Chevelle and it is equivalent to an 71/72 396 Camaro spring or oddly enough a 77 and later Camaro 250ci straight six with air. So I guess it has been apart before. Thanks for the info!
