This Black with red stripes was kind of neat, but just a later owner re-paint. When the resto shop stripped the paint off of the car, it was black over blue, then blue over white, as this white was over the original factory Hugger Orange. The different owner's color change re-paints wouldn't have any collector car significance pertaining to Motion Performance.

Due to NHRA rule changes the 1969 Camaro body got popular again in the mid 70s. Motion ran a red white and blue 69 Camaro in the mid 70s.

Thanks Belair! Didn't realize that. Troy, cool pics. Kevin, cool car. Are you going to go with any stripe scheme?

Dave, thanks, but you'll have to wait for the pictures. Now get busy and finish my net.

You saying that blank check I mailed you wasn't any good? Next time put a few less zeros in it, it's only a net I'm buying, not a car.

Dave, thanks. I have been going through a bunch of these old pictures and just came across those that I forgot that I had. The car is way too cool and glad sixtiesmuscle was able to obtain it before it rotted away. Now it has gone onto another collector who likes to have the biggest and baddest hot rods in the USA. Kevin, enjoy that car and paint it however you feel is correct...........RatPack..........

ps: I think I would paint it back white with "SEMI HEMI" on the sides like it was when it was taken to MP. Not many people could say that they owned a magazine car from 1974!!! Thanks Troy, if it were someone famous like Grumpy Jenkins with a white car, I would've painted it white with the Grump's name for sure. But I felt this was an unknown private racer that chose to re-paint it a different color, and put his name all over the car. So, it was a toss-up between restoring it to the original factory Hugger Orange, or to the white color it was in the magazine photo. Since the key historical items to me were how the car left GM and what Motion Performance did to it, I chose to go that way; and not to how the private owners modified it afterwards.
