Phil, assembly manual shows 2 neg. cables. 6296746 for 6 cyl. And 6269745 for V8. But it also shows a battery with neg. terminal on inboard side. At some point when batt. were made with poss. Inboard, did replacement cable 6296750 come in to play?

My car is a July of 69 car. Maybe that had something to do with it. My friend did confirm that his set up called for the battery with a positive terminal next to the fender.
