Double gaskets or a piece of crud are common causes...but I know there is no crud on your cars..so maybe it's the gaskets...good luck

Have you inspected the cannister adapter after removing it?
It's unusual,but I had a similar scenario,and after basically doing what's already been recomended,found the adapter had a harline crack in it. I would replace the adapter. |
