That fact video hurt my brain. And they got the wrong the race car they ended up being the ag 55 had the l88 and m22 the camera car was a ls5 m22. The roll over car I can’t remember what motor but know it was a th400. At least that’s all I remember reading about it years ago when the camera car was found and restored

"You can never go fast enough"
Built a TLB clone with a bunch of the items Ruth added but kept the factory a-arm front. Same seats, early chevelle buckets, similar hood scoop, and the lexan sliders. Fun stuff. Car's gone to Iowa somewhere, but I kept the drivetrain....427 of course. I may have to come for a visit, more to talk to R. Ruth...and wear my Glendale Speed Shop shirt! Newsome is the guy that Finch sold the AG car to I believe, and he added a bunch of stuff that nobody liked but him. Glad he sold it. Walt Bailey did a much better job, as good as it gets really, to the TLB camera car. He even got James Taylor to sit in it at a show, very cool indeed! |

Just watched the "fact" video.....was that an AI narrator? Made me laugh. Got several things wrong, but I'll just focus on the "rollover" car in AG, which was pulled from the wrecking yard, never used in TLB, and was returned to the wrecking yard after filming.

Love that scene, "396 block?".... "454"
Glendale Speed Center, not Shop....my bad. Frieberger did a very cool chronical video of his stomping grounds in CA, where he street raced, and just hung out...kind of a then and now film. He came across the Glendale Speed center building, still standing, and gives a backstory of how this tee-shirt came to be. Fun stuff. |

Very good guy; I bump into him often around here and last month he was cleaning out his garage at the Long Beach swap meet.
I bought a few things, just because you have to, don't you?! "F-Bomb".... hah! Cheers all! |
