I'll work on that. Here is a pic of my Dad's car. 67 400hp he has owned since 74. Purchased from the original owner.
I rebuilt the engine a few years ago for him and did some detailing.

Tim,

Anyone into the widewheel RPO276 look is fine with me! Nice ride. Only original once.

I like the wide wheel look also and have a '62 Satin Silver Vette with the small caps. I have a question....the RPO 276 was a no cost opition (you got the wheels but didn't get the full wheel covers because there were no nubs so I guess the cost balanced out). I get a lot of people wanting to know if my car was a big brake car which it wasn't. The 276 was a stand alone option that was available without the big brakes but were the wide wheels also a part of the big brake package? Other words, could you get a big brake car with regular wheels?

Technically, I believe it was possible. I have not seen one or known of one. I am not a sharp on 53-62 as I am 63-67.

hey tom, I remember your car from vette fest in the past. It is gorgous if memory serves.

I don't think there is a quick answer to your question. This article is my guide on widewheels and bigbrakes. I have a 60 and a 61.
