			I've just spent a lot of time researching "how to weld a gas tank" on the internet... 
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
		
	
	... it turns out this procedure has been mastered in other parts of the world, long ago..... The most important part of welding the tank is making sure the fumes escape safely without igniting. Therefore, the angle of the tank and the gashole is most important.... see below..... ![]() ![]()    |

			Marlin - the tank on my Deuce is a Spectrum and the gas cap receiver will not accept a correct gas cap.  Schonye is sending me the original top section of my filler neck and I will "graft" the old correct cap receiver on to my new tank.
