Eric, did you happen to get any of the VIN's for the first gen Camaros? I'd like to add them to the database if possible.

Thanks
Ed

Is there any paperwork or other documentation to prove it is a Z? If that rear differential pictured (10 bolt) is in that car it is missing the engine, transmission (has auto installed) and rear end and with a 68 it is nearly impossible to prove it is a Z/28 without original paperwork or original drive train.

That's good to know. The reason for clearing out the yard, is the two brothers who own it are fighting. I bought one brothers share, but the 68 Z belongs to the other brother, and I've have no contact with him. Although his house is here at the yard, and I could go knock on the door.

The rest of the cars are in a diffrent part of the yard. I'll get pix of them, when I go back on Sunday.

seriously though, what's that 68 Z worth?

[/ QUOTE ]

not too sure that is a real one, no rear bumper guards for one, no 12 bolt ...

IF the 68 "Z" is a Van Nuys car the top of the cowl will be painted stripe color ...

the tire decal inside the glove box would be 15"

the drivers side exhaust hanger bracket should be present, but that would be there if the car was an SS too, count the spring wraps on the hood hinges, that will tell you IF it used to have an SS hood on it ...

Thanks Jim, that's what I was looking for. I'm much better at figureing out second gens. Now I'll just have to get a quiet moment with the old girl, when I go back.
I thought the rear bumper fangs on it were the "Z Bumper Guards".
