I recently purchased a nice, high quality (I thought) jack from Sam's about two years ago. I was jacking a car up last week when the fill plug shot out of the jack along with lots of jack oil, and the car immediately went down to the ground. Would have hated to have been under the car! Two words......JACK STANDS, no matter what kind of jack.
