Here's a little something to sweeten the deal, both for Mike and whoever might be interested in this carb;

Seeing as how I've made significant progress in my process(es) in regards to both form and function since Mike originally sent this carb to me for restoration, should any paid sYc members purchase this carb, if Mike will be kind enough to drop-ship it to me first, I will re-restore it to bring it up to current standards and ship it to the buyer on my dime. In light of a fairly adamant phone call I just got regarding this carb;

I stand by my earlier statements regarding this particular unit. That being said, for the record I am not making any "official" claims as to the authenticity of the date since it has obviously been altered, and short of a means to travel back in time...

Like I said, I've seen a number of factory mis-stamps, and I believe this is another example, but believe whatever you want about the carb.

(It's times like this that make me miss the old days of rebuilding 3310's and 4781's for the local hotrod crowd

I believe that is the case -that this was done by Holley back when this carb was made. I got this carb this way from a guy on ebay who had no clue as it was listed with a Holley 2818 car as Mustang Holley cores. I purchased it with the buy it now and took the chance that it was the real deal. I sent Eric many pictures to verify it once I got it. The base was all plugged and hacked on and Eric was lucky enough to find me a good base for it. If I look even closer at the grind out I think it was 732, but cant say for sure. This is the real deal and I have never seen another. I have since sold my 67z/28 that was sold in California, hince the smog carb was correct. At the time of the sale I offered this carb to the buyer of the car at a very fair price, but he was not interested. The is the holy grail of all Holleys in my opinion.

I'll post some pics as found. I wish I would have copied the original ebay ad. The following pics are the exact same ones I sent to Eric to verify it.
