So, then this is a correct air filter housing for a late built (July `69-on) Camaro with cowl induction?

It'll work, but not really period correct for the 69 Camaro or 70 Chevelle.
As Chris mentioned,it has the later issued #891 elbow that started appearing on the original vintage 1971 ZL-2 equipped Chevelle aircleaners, but there's no thermac pot on the snorkle, like the original vintage issued 1971-72's had. The current reproductions copied the more popular 69-70 snorkle design, but used the last known elbow design as well, via 1971-72. I think Ricks is a newly released reproduction that has been used some. |

So, is this snorkel design a reproduction then?

From what I have seen, that is an over the counter GM air cleaner. I have a couple in the gm box that have that elbow on them. It is not a repop.

As Frank said, it appears to be the over the counter GM piece, there are however quite a few different runs of reproduction cowl air cleaners that have been made and they were all copied from this style. Some are very easy to pick out by the end of the snorkel while others are much better made and a little tougher to pick out in a picture.
