They will never rust because in MY opinion they have been "flame sprayed" with ALUMINUM giving them that whitish/silverish color.......The aeresol cast blast paint cosmetically covers the new "skin" and makes them appear more natural...............

That's correct - they're plasma-sprayed with about .005" of aluminum as a moisture barrier.

Chuck,

I'm guessing I can find a place in Phoenix to have them "flame sprayed". Anyone done this in AZ? Any idea of the cost?

thanks,

Dave

So far I am unsuccessful in finding anyone to "Flame Spray" my exhaust manifolds here in the Phoenix area. Has anyone in the local area used this process?

thanks

I thought it had to have black stripes. Can't find the link with color combos now, thought it was on NastyZ28. Kinda remembered you had to have black stripes with DY. It was already painted with white stripes, I will probably leave it that way for awhile. Should drive all the Z28 experts crazy, it will make them happy pointing out that it is wrong.
