For those interested this car would qualify for the FIA/IMSA class/race group at the Monterey Historics with all the Porsche RSRs , 934s, 935s , Ferrari BB's , Greenwood Vette's , etc. The Corvette's are very popular . Very reasonably priced historic car that you can go racing with at all the swanky events . Ooops , did the price just go up

I know but there are plenty of guys driving 6/10ths in that gig... even with the problems with an unsorted car I made short work of the Greenwood and moved through the field

the "Greenwood", another uncompetitive car in that class...maybe those guys are driving around at 6/10 because they were informed (at the drivers meeting) who would finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd...

Yep.. a little of that going on though it has now become harder for them to do that as more competative cars with good drivers are showing up. That is why I wish the old HSR was still around. We used to have fun . In 2000 or 2001 we were running faster times in 15 year old GTP cars than the Ferrari 333SP's and other Protos were at Daytona during the 24 hour weekend.Plus to go through all of that at Monterey and only get 60 min. of track time for the whole weekend doesn't make sense to me anymore.
