I actually have three cars that ran the 1980 24 hour race and thought I may have pictures of the Yenko vette but unfortunatley I do not .
For those interested this car would qualify for the FIA/IMSA class/race group at the Monterey Historics with all the Porsche RSRs , 934s, 935s , Ferrari BB's , Greenwood Vette's , etc. The Corvette's are very popular . Very reasonably priced historic car that you can go racing with at all the swanky events . Ooops , did the price just go up ![]()

Thanks ChevyThunder! If you do come across any pictures of our Corvette in the 1980 24 hour race, we would really like to see them. The car does have a log book and will qualify for all of the vintage race groups with which I am familiar.
And no, the price did not go up! |

Yep.. a little of that going on though it has now become harder for them to do that as more competative cars with good drivers are showing up. That is why I wish the old HSR was still around. We used to have fun . In 2000 or 2001 we were running faster times in 15 year old GTP cars than the Ferrari 333SP's and other Protos were at Daytona during the 24 hour weekend.Plus to go through all of that at Monterey and only get 60 min. of track time for the whole weekend doesn't make sense to me anymore.
