I think having only 50 or 100 Blue SS Camaro's produced for 2009 would be enough motivation for buyers.

I was talking to a tool & die maker who is working on the Camaro project in Oshawa. He heard that the big hp Z/28 Camaro has been cancelled. With the COPO cars in the old days, GM used what was available. There wasn't really anything major that they had to come up with. I've said all along that they should use their top dog 427, which they have in the Vette, and call it a COPO Camaro. That would probably get the Camaro more attention than anything else they could do. To succeed this car will have to stand out and GM had better figure out how. Being the most expensive didn't work the last time.

COPO is still strong in the Gm world. In late 2007 a friend that owns some Cheverolet stores ordered 10 bright red Tahoes through the fleet sales. The problem with fleet is the bumper covers were black and side moldings were black and had to be removed and painted.
In my GM days that was the only way to get the bright yellow and orange S10`s and sonomas, they are now a regular production option as we all know.
