Ahh..Beautiful Akron Ohio... Look at the building stright ahead with the round silo's, that is the old Quaker Oats plant in downtown Akron.
Years ago they made it into a Hotel, and now used as dorms by the University of Akron.

The McNeil Akron Co. in the forground built tire making equipment and moulds for the Rubber Co's back in the day's when we actually made stuff.
And that is your local history lesson for the day

My youngest lad just finished doing his art homework before handing over the computer to me..
Of course tonite's sketch was of what else but our Peterboro' Quaker Oats plant w/ the silos and all...then the first thread I land on is this one!.

370 BMW's were damaged last Jan when a carrier ship tipped in port, in Jersey City.
The 370 cars included the 1 series, the 3-series as well as the new M3 models. 70 of the damaged cars
were a total loss and had to be crushed, as these cars had damage to the engines and the structure of
the car. The rest of the 300 cars were taken to the service stations to get it fixed.
