It is amazing just how wrong the self professed experts can be? Wrong Car, Wrong code and wrong dates. Trying to compare the dates and VIN of a regular 1969 Corvette to the L88 for sale

Thanks for the Support

That can't be a level 1 survivor car! I saw it going down the dragstrip at St. Louis the beginning of the month!!!

ONLY AT SCR!!!

Great piece of original art. Good luck with the sale and the hyenas on e-Pay!!

Stefano,

At least you can have a few laughs at the expense of the know it alls out there. This is the exact reason I quit messing with Corvettes. I have never proclaimed to know everything, but I do take my time and research things thoroughly before buying if it is something that needs to be researched. I feel that every day is a learning process for all of us and the day we stop learning, we are dead. I truly value the assistance that I have gotten from the helpful folks on this site and there are also some really nice Corvette guys out there too. The know it alls just have to ruin things for everyone just because they think they do just that, know it all. Most of them don't know half of what they think they know. The only recommendation I have is to have fun with them and don't let them get under your skin, which you have been doing a great job of so far. Good luck with the auction . Looks like a great car and is certainly a great opportunity for the "right" buyer IMHO.

Bryan

It's all about the paperwork proving a car is a real L88. Of the 216 L88's built over the three year period, it's estimated around 10% have their born with drivetrains. Those cars will not be in this price range.

Just a quick question and I hope I don't sound like a smart ass? But what is with the buy it now price of 344,991? Does asking 345K for a level 1 supercar put it into a different category? Like Level 1.5 ? LOL

Wouldn't 344,990 buy the car or is that buy it now price firm at 344,991? Just seems like an unusual buy it now number? But not understanding the level 1 market perhaps I am not up to speed? Does ebay charge more at 345K?
